Environmental Product Award 2006
Our first award for our hard aggregates from electrical arc furnace slag, not only the recognition of the product value but also of our fight.
AEIFOROS SA has been awarded the first prize in the category Environmental Product during a beautiful ceremony on 30/05/2006 at the Athens Opera in the framework of the Greek Business Awards for the Environment 2005-2006 organized by THE Greek Association of Enterprises for the protection of the Environment (PASEPPE). The Greek organization is part of the European Business Awards for the Environment.
AEIFOROS SA was rewarded for the production of hard aggregates produced from recycled Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) slag. The excellent mechanical properties of our manufactured aggregates meet the requirements of national and international specifications for hard aggregates to be used in road construction. They have been used in Greece in the construction in all major roadworks, especially for the anti-skid wearing course of motorways.
AEIFOROS is involved in the recycling of industrial by-products since 2001, contributing significantly to the protection of the environment. AEIFOROS recycling facilities are located in Almyros (Central Greece), in Thessaloniki (Northern Greece) and in Pernik (Bulgaria). All facilities are certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
